School days have been the most beautiful days of one’s life!!! Agreed?? :D Majority of us would also agree with the fact that these days have taught us PLENTIFUL lessons, and have given us priceless and wonderful memories!
And in reality, the sad nostalgic stage arrives when we have to part our ways ; at that time we know we no longer will be able to jump playfully from ‘those’ stairs, run behind each other in ‘those’ corridors, use the ‘same’ washrooms to groom ourselves up during the break-time and to chit-chat, stare at ‘that’ vast playground, eat greedily by breaking queues at ‘our school’s ’ canteen, stay glued to our nest-like ‘seats’ and so on.
And no matter how much we detested waking up for school, feared facing our earnest teachers, struggled to submit homework and sit for the alarming assessments; the longing to relive those carefree days would never fade. Those are the unworldly times we now pine for!
Remember your last day at school? Countless hugs and tear-filled eyes? Posing for pictures depicting greatly loved and valued moments of your life? And your heavy heart is dominated by mixed emotions? Gratitude. Fears. Apprehensions. Curiosity. Excitement. Sadness. Felicity. And what not!
But despite everything, we had to leave behind those days and places and people. Things and friendships changed. This impossibility became inescapable. And we eventually moved on, to a completely different sphere of life.
Even though childhood and school days were the best part of us and our lives, we learnt to look ahead and experience a fresher journey and realised that the ‘real’ life existed outside those safe and secure boundaries of our school.
So maybe when the wise men preached that ‘The only thing constant is Change’, they were right for life did change and for the better.
